I'm not sure how their network works, but it seems to work in places that I know I couldn't get an EDGE connection. I like the idea of 3G, but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't work in any of the places we were visiting in Mexico with the exception of Mexico City. Plus roaming charges for international data are extremely high (the Blackberry is the only exception I've found). I've looked at getting a 3G card for my laptop for use in the US, but at $60 per month it is pretty hard to justify when I'm only sporadically in places where it would work at all.
