Richard Bach talks about exact same thing “Messages to self from future-self” in “The Bridge Across Forever” (and probably his other books as well) .. and to top it off, he is able to do just that several times through out the book.

On one lecture of communications science I heard about “levels of communication” and one of them was “inner communication”. When lecturer explained this I asked about note taking, especially in terms of time management. He agreed – this is inner communication, but put out of your brain ;D

I`m also a marketer, and sometimes I explain my collegues that time management is marketing (selling) your future self your present ideas and plans ;D
