But some of the same studies which reveal unmarried men live more poorly than married ones revealed the opposite is true for women - unmarried women tend to be happier than married ones. So this is not the same as the study you&#039;re pointing out. How marriage affects health seems to be not so much about loneliness as whether you&#039;re in the husband or wife role.
