LiveScribe on OS X

January 12, 2009 · Print This Article

Did you know that a single two-second distraction can cost you 15 minutes of your day? When your concentration is interrupted, it takes up to 15 minutes to get your focus back. Our ambient sounds help reduce the amount of noise distractions in your workplace. Take advantage of the current SALE.

LiveScribe is a pen that records the audio as you take notes. You can then click on each section and hear the audio that was recorded when that part of the note was written.  They have released a beta of their software that now works on OS X.  The concept is pretty slick and I could see it being a very nice tool for students.

My LiveScribe pen is fun AND helpful. Since you can only sync with one Mac, I’m thinking of buying another one so I can have one at home and one at work.

Tonight I drew a piano and played it using the pen. Very cool.

I thought the same thing. Turns out that you can sync with as many computers as you like. I called the Livescribe support number and they were very helpful. I’ve synced with a Mac laptop and my Mac desktop. Works like a charm! Just make sure to download the Livescribe desktop software from the website, onto each computer.
