Update: I've switched to Time Machine and stopped using Backup.

I found that disabling perian (or updating perian) has fixed the keynote quicktime problems.

@NRT - The past few weeks have seen several updates from Apple and thigns seem much more stable for me now. Hopefully it gets better for you as well.

@Arjun - I've actually been very pleased with Time Machine and I haven't had any kernel panic issues. I haven't done a lot of restores, but the few I have done have worked as expected.

@Matthew - I tried using Backup, but the restore process didn't seem particularly easy--and a number of people ran into problems where it lost their data. This may be fixed in the current version, but I haven't wanted to use Backup as my primary backup mechanism because of this.

I haven't run into any Quicktime issues yet, but I haven't tried running any of my video intensive Keynote presentations.

I got my first MacBook and it came with Leopard so sadly, I cannot compare, but it is not working as smoothly as I would have hoped... Everyone was telling me I would love my Mac, and while I do... I've had to reboot a couple of times and when I use Preview for some minor image tweaking, it closes and I have to relaunch... only to mess up again!!! I don't know if this is just because Leopard is just as new, but hopefully they fix it.

I am not tempted to use Time Machine since I'm very pleased with Backup which comes with .Mac account.

I don't like the new menu bar or the new dock and am running utilities to undo those new features. I have gotten used to the new sidebar icons though I was originally disappointed by them.

I've found things to be more stable than before with the exception of applications which use quicktime which are troublesome (such as keynote presentations with quicktime embedded and some third party apps which aren't used to the new quicktime.)

I wish Time Machine would work for me. I recently bought an external HD and ever since I installted Time Machine, I've been getting Kernel Panics at least twice a day. I actually lost some blog posts because of this, and Time Machine is supposed to be backing up my stuff!

It kind of surprised me but the one feature I am finding more and more useful and I appreciate is Quick Look. I love being able to quickly look at a file without launching a program. Not all programs are supported natively but it sure does help. In fact if it's a PDF or short mp3 file I will just access those via Quick Look.

Smart folders existed already in 10.4, and were added to the sidebar automatically when created after performing a spotlight search.

I wonder why you didn't mention spaces? Seems this is a productivity-related feature.
