Fortunately for professionals, we can (as I have) set up a free Google Hosted Apps account for our own domain, it looks a lot more professional to have me@mydomain.com on the business card than me@gmail.com. I'd encourage everyone who just realized that their old Hotmail account just isn't stacking up to make the leap right away. Based on the list above, the only free service that meets the requirements is Gmail.
