Commenting on an April Fools this far after seems moronic.

For an easier screenshot, Apple + Shift + 3.

You can make Windows machines not “Show Desktop Icons” by right-clicking Desktop and dechecking that option under “Arrange Icons” – it’ll be safer and still equally annoying.

They might have to call IT. HA.
